Forrest Hejkal
Technical Director for Build
Forrest (he/him) is an intermittently local builder, designer, director, producer, and actor.
He has founded several theater companies, including the Carriage House Theatre of Ann Arbor, and national tours of both street theater and living room theater.
He has designed and built many sets in the Ann Arbor and Chicago areas, most regularly at Theatre Nova in Ann Arbor and First Folio Shakespeare Theater in Oak Brook, Illinois.
Forrest also runs Heartfire Saunas, where he builds custom saunas and rents out a mobile sauna converted from a vintage camper trailer.
He is passionate about community building, farms, swimming holes, music, and his dog Maisy.
When not working on a production, he can be found in a canoe, a sauna, or down a dusty trail.
