Emily McConnell is very excited to be returning to Michigan Shakespeare Festival, after designing The Two Gentlemen of Verona in 2109.  

 

She has been the Resident Costume Designer for Roosevelt University's Chicago College of the Performing Arts for 15 years, and freelance design credits include The House (Hatfield & McCoy – Jeff nominated), Steep Theatre (Mosquitoes, Birdland, Wastwater, The Few and others), American Blues (Side Man), Lifeline (3 Little Pigs, Monstrous Regiment), , Northlight (Commons of Pensacola, Black Pearl Sings), Redtwist (Reverb), Oak Park Festival Theatre (Fair Maid of the West, Amadeus, Richard III and others). 

 

She is a proud Ensemble Member of Steep Theatre, an active union member of USA 829, and has her MFA in Costume and Set Design from Northwestern University.
