We interrupt our usual online presence of glorious production photos, company bios, and show information with a plea for your support.

Please donate to our $26k for 26 years

Our goal is to raise $26,ooo for the 26th Anniversary Season

by June 4, 2020!

With your help, we can do this!

Why Give?

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival is a non-profit and funded in large part by supporters just like you.  80% of our revenues come from ticket sales and programming; but the rest is made up mainly by individuals, making mostly small, affordable, donations.

Join those supporters if you believe that live professional regional theatre is important to you and the community.

Where Do We Spend The Money?

On our stage.  We believe in paying our artists- our designers, directors, actors, and technicians- a living wage for their work. And right now our Pledge Drive is all about supporting our artists as well as supporting their art: we’re purchasing materials for the costumes, scenery, and properties build as well as the technical equipment necessary to mounting the productions this summer!

Ways To Give?

Individual Giving

Individuals that donate to MSF ensure that we are able to continue producing classical theatre to inspire our audiences. Donations of any size help advance our mission and support our artists.

Donations can be given in one payment, or spread out over months – here on our secure website – gifts can be made by credit or debit card.

Checks are also happily accepted – simply send a check payable to the Michigan Shakespeare Festival to our business office:

            MSF Business Office

            215 W. Michigan Ave.

            Jackson, MI  49201

Employer Gift Matching
Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple a donation's value. Check with your company to see if they will match your gift to MSF.

Institutional Giving

Institutional grants and donations provide support for the performances and educational programming that the MSF produces each season.  And while governmental funding for the arts has become more rare- and corporate funding more focused away from the arts- grants and foundational backing from businesses and other institutions provide much needed operational support.  If your company or organization is interested in partnering to sponsor the MSF’s 25thAnniversary Season, please contact us at GM@michiganshakespearefestival.com.

Planned Giving

Donors may elect to ensure the future vitality of professional classical theatre in Michigan by including the MSF in their estate planning. Planned gifts have a lasting effect, helping sustain regional theatre for the audiences of tomorrow while reaping the benefits of federal and state tax laws that may allow reduction of income, or lower gift and estate taxes.

A Gift of Stock
